There’s no denying that great food and wine taste even better when your backdrop is the beautiful mountains of Vail, Colorado. The Taste of Vail is a leading wine and food festival, and its scenic backdrop of the mountains of Colorado couldn’t be a better place to host it.
With a series of events spread out throughout the famous ski town of Vail, you will be in foody heaven. If you love skiing, fine foods, and wines, then The Taste of Vail is the place to be.
So, what is The Taste of Vail, and what should you expect when you attend?
Delicious Food, Fine Wine, and Skiing!
The Taste of Vail brings together almost 30 of Vail’s best chefs, including 50 of the world’s best wineries. It’s the ultimate wine-tasting event, with the event’s signature show being the snow-covered, all-you-can-drink wine tasting at the very top of the Vail ski lifts.
You’ll be tasting some of the best wines in the world, looking fabulous in your ski suit and winter clothes as attendees trudge through the snow, refilling glasses and educating you about the wines you’re drinking. Sounds pretty amazing! Fresh powder, delicious hot foods, and perfect wines.
If standing in the snow sipping wines isn’t your speed, then don’t worry. There are also some warmer events happening at the bottom of the ski lift. Down at the bottom of the ski lift, you’ll be able to participate in the following:
- A sampling of the year’s newest rosés.
- An amazing après ski meat cook-off.
- A sponsored yoga class by La Croix.
- Plus, wine dinners and wine seminars on growing your wine knowledge.
Vail, Colorado, More than just Skiing!
For a long time now, Vail has been considered as a vacation spot for the rich, famous, and elite. It’s because of this that local foods and wines have elevated themselves to such high levels. Chefs participating at The Taste of Vail have prepared dishes, including beef tartare with exquisite truffle aioli, quail with molasses, and even maple-flavored bran muffins.
Regardless of what you enjoy eating and drinking, The Taste of Vail will have something to suit you. Just walking around with the aroma of fine foods and wines is enough to get your mouth watering.
You’ll be able to spend the day on the slopes carving it up in the fresh powder and your afternoon sampling some of the amazing food and wine.
