33’s a Charm
This Friday and Saturday, June 23rd & 24th the Vail Arts Festival returns. Booths open at 10am and go to 5pm and Sunday, June 25th from 10am to 4pm will be a Vail-style celebration of the visual arts–think sculpture, jewelry, metal works, mixed media and more, all under a bluebird sky at the base of the famous Vail Mountain–and you’re invited! Come on out for a little culture, a little sun, a little art, a little fun at Vail’s longest running outdoor arts festival.
They say the 33rd year in any life is a pivotal one. A time of transformation and rebirth. It would be hard to improve on the near perfection of the Vail Arts Festival, but it does give one pause. What will this, its 33rd year of life, bring? More of the same is what we hope, but we may keep our eye out for a little extra magic in this very special year. There will be artists in every imaginable medium…from wood to fiber and from glass to photography.
More than 80 featured artists from 22 different states will converge at Lionshead Mall and Arrabelle at Vail Square to showcase (and make available to buyers) their original work. Look for a handful of emerging artists and student winners of art contests, as well. These artists have won the privilege of displaying their work amid the world-class art of their more seasoned peers, and you never know what new vision could emerge…perhaps that’s the significance of 33!
After a day of shopping head over to Vail Village for dinner and drinks! You can continue to celebrate art with our unique table statutes, by Colorado sculpture artist Harold Linke. Call for reservations and we’ll save a seat for you!
