Taste of Vail 2014

The Taste of Vail is almost here ladies and gentlemen and we cannot wait! Listed below are the events that we will be participating in this year – make sure you stop by, say hello and of course, grab a bite to eat. See you there!

Wednesday, April 2nd (6:30pm-9pm): Beer vs. Wine Smackdown with La Tour & Flame

This event will feature La Tour Restaurant vs. Flame in the Bighorn Kitchen Stadium! Mystery ingredients will be revealed as La Tour’s Owner and Executive Chef Paul Ferzacca and Four Seasons Executive Chef Jason Harrison go head to head in a cook-off challenge! While the chef’s knives are chopping, the Beverage Directors will be pouring and pairing. Steven Teaver, the “Beer Boss” of Flame and our very own Paul DiMario, “Wino” of La Tour, will be facing off the Beer vs. Wine smackdown of the year! Who will win and who melt in the heat of the kitchen?

Thursday April 3rd (3pm-6pm): Colorado Lamb Cook Off

Lamb cook-off Taste of VailEnjoy one of Vail’s FAVORITE spring events! This year the annual Taste of Vail Lamb Cook-Off is joining up with the Aprés Ski Tasting to create a true Aprés Ski Party! Come cheer on La Tour and sample an array of lamb dishes! In the theme of “Life Beyond Chardonnay, Cabernet and Merlot,” the Taste of Vail’s participating wineries will also be showcasing wines, a wide array of varietals that include Reisling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Zinfandel.

Saturday April 5th (6pm-10pm): The Grand Tasting and Auction

The grand daddy of wine and food tastings. Experience Taste of Vail’s annual decadent and unparalleled wine and culinary spectacle. This event features all of Taste of Vail’s wineries and restaurants. In addition, the evening will include the Taste of Vail’s Auction. Cheers!
